Darker stain on a finished table? I want to darken the stain on my dining room table and...

I want to darken the stain on my dining room table and chairs. Can I mix a darker stain near some polyurathane and get the results. (maybe 2 shades darker) I don't want to hold to sand all of it, in attendance are too many details on the chairs. Thank You
Answers:    Better stale going to the home center and picking out the exact stain you want. It's not expensive. What would you rather do, spend a couple bucks to seize exactly what you want or take the unpredictability of ruining furniture you obviously similar to enough to hold on to it looking good. Do it right the first time. Good luck
Yes, you can do that - and the polyurathane will also facilitate to protect the surface. A word of advice though. If you can assessment the stain/poly mix on an underpart or somewhere where it's not so blatant then do so. That passageway if it's not the desired tone then it won't stick out approaching a sore thumb and look like a "poorly lit patch". When you do have the right tone next you can apply it to all the perceptible surfaces.
