Cutting metal umbrella skeleton? I need to cut the thicker, upper part of a set of...

I need to cut the thicker, upper part of a set of a metal umbrella skeleton and am clueless on how to go just about doing this. Normal metal snips, saw, power saw? Help please.
In guitar hero 3 what is a extermination...
Answers:    A hacksaw if you have time and gusto,
A saws-all if you have one and a metal blade.
A jig-saw beside a metal blade if there is room.
Dikes and or metal snips would probably not be strong plenty.
Careful with the power tools!

OF course if you own a friend with a blow torch you can own fun and use a cutting attachment for the torch... ( more power LOL ) but it would work!!!
