Crochet termenology!? I'm just study how to crochet and I have a couple stitches...

I'm just study how to crochet and I have a couple stitches down. I only just found a pretty stitch that I would like to swot but I don't know how to read it... what does this mean?
V-stich
sts
dc
ch
dc
v-sts
Answers:    sts=stiches
dc=double crochet
ch=chain
v-sts=v-stich, which i guess is when you dc (double crochet) then cuff 2 then double crochet into like space or stich you worked the first double crochet in.
