When you are running coax cable through multiple rooms, and you want all or at smallest most of the rooms to have a jack to plug contained by a tv or a computer or something, how do you connect the cables to the jacks?
Like when you chain electric cable, you strip the wires and attach them in a fork box or at the outlet or light or anything. Then you continue running the cable. You don't bring up a totally separate cable from the panel. What is the equivalent procedure for coax?
Answers:    A patch panel is installed contained by a central location, usually surrounded by the basement. A coax is after run to each cable outlet box within the house. The patch panel is a low loss giant splitter. Phone lines and network cable are done the same bearing. Daisy chaining is not done beside communication wires.
They are called splitters. You hold an in and up to 4 outs. They do come contained by different sizes. (1 in 2 out etc.)
