I have a unusual military tactic knife and it have very small dots of rust on the blade. I tried cleaning it next to Metholated spirits but that didnt do much any tips?
Answers: I find that Comet cleanser is great on stainless steel. I use it on my kitchen pans...never tried it on a military cut but if it works for my skillets...maybe it will work for your axe.
You will need to polish it bad with a non-iron scratchy. Might try emory cloth in a deeply fine grit. Make sure you can clean it sour and not spread it further or it will rust again.
