I have a cinderblock chimney surrounded by my livingroom that has 2 copper pipes running beside it and a woodstove pipe running into it. I involve to stud the wall and sheetrock around it. Does anyone know the correct distance for heat spacing between the studs and cinderblock so that it doesn't get hold of hot enough to lock in fire? is there a special retardant wood or sheetrock to use? gratefulness

use pendant studs and cement board for your sheet rock that should solve any issues you may have beside anything getting hot. also change the pipe that go to your would stove into a double sided one if the stove doesn't have one already.
