I have a strand of 100 mini lights for a project within art I'm going to use. I need to cut it into partially to fit the perimeter of the art project. How do i do this? Just cut the wires and reconnect them and wrap it beside electrical tape? Btw it's plug within
Buy the correct string of lights. Cutting them voids the UL address list.

There should be two sets of wires. If they're not different colors you need to pay envelope attention to which is which.

Wires work in a circular formation. If the circle is broken they don't work. So you own to connect these two wires to each other.

But the issue is if they stipulation to be plugged in after you're going to need to buy another plug to trade name the part you cut rotten work.

Also, don't listen to the first guy, if they're plugged in while you do it you'll electrocute yourself.

I suggest buying a string of 50 lights. They're really cheap.

However if you buy the slightly more expensive LED lights they'll ending years longer than the normal lights. They also use smaller number energy.
