Answers:    As long as you have a tub somewhere contained by your home then no. Depending how you plan on redo your shower you might actually join more value to your home. I did this to my home as very well and the outcome was much more beneficial to me.

More buyers are looking for showers to some extent than tubs now. Having one tub within the house is still a good view but adding a separate shower is a appropriate idea.
