I was wanting to re-melt dial anti-bacterial soap. If I can't is at hand any Soap I can re-melt? Dove etc, something I can find at a dollar store or Walmart?
Answers: Sure! My dad used to do this all the time within order to gather money! (family with four kids and one income!) He would cut the soap into small pieces, put them into the top of a double boiler, make a payment a little marine in beside the soap, usually enough to cover bottom of jar to start. Using the double boiler, (remember water on simmer contained by bottom part! :)) stir soap next to water continuously until soap softens. Add hose down as necessary, but simply until soap is entirely mixed and is in glutinous paste, form of like whip potatoes but little runnier. Then he would put it into cupcake papers placed in muffin tins. Let it set until hardened. GL. (I hope I remembered this right!)
DO NOT PUT IN MICROWAVE, it will stink up undamaged house. mix leftover pieces next to water within a container till soft, squeeze together...done
