i went to home depot to draw from the plastic and they had 6 mil but it cost 30$ for 100 foot..i don't need that much nor do i want to remuneration that much. i bought 4 mil instead. is this ok or should i go backbone and return it?

another question how do i put the barrage up on the studs with the piping. i hold pipes coming out. how do i do put plastic where the pipes and shower pedal are? you get what i stingy?
Answers:    4 mil will work, if you pipes are actually on the outside of your studs not drill through cover them or verbs the pipe pegs, slide it trailing and tack them back down. if your discussion about the H&C nipples, and your spout cut a hole for them and your good to move about.

What the picture shows is perfect, does not hold to be tight just somewhat hermetic around the edges
6 mil is the standard for the building code...if your doing the job yourself and not a soul else is going to check it or see it then u can do anything u want , but strange home once the insulation is up it gets inspected formerly the drywall can go up..check next to your building code..because some vapor barriers obligation to be sealed at the bottom of the wall beside a type of caulking and all joint have to be tape using a special tape.give or take a few the pipes.only the faucet and shower director stem pipes are the only pipes to stir through the vapor barrier...look around the store I am sure they supply smaller rolls of 6 mil.any holes in the hedge should be taped..better to do the livelihood done the correct way in the past any drywall goes up
