I'm paiting some furniture and I started with primer, but let my children help out... It's quick drying primer so as soon as you get one stroke down and try to even it adjectives out, it gets bumpy. I don't want to ruin the furniture, but I don't want a bumpy finish after I paint with high-gloss. Can I sand it to even things out back painting over the primer?
You can other sand off what you put on, just stop when you hit wood. you should other sand your primer with a light bulk sand paper.
sure you can .. really primer is terrifically easy to sand .
lightly sand it .. and wear a concealing outfit ..
if you hit the wood ... just re primer . useing a light coat
an alternative though , if your use a bright coat. on the top.
use a white primer on the bottom, it will make your paint jump out much better ...
Answers:    Certainly you can. In fact, it is regularly recommended that you sand the primer lightly to knock down any wood fibers that it may own raised. Use a fine grit paper. If you be only knocking down raise fibers I would say 220 grit, but to smooth the bumpy primer you may need 150 grit or so.
yes with 800 grit sand thesis
