The plug on my washing apparatus is fused i.e. it came connected to the cable and does not screw bad like a regular plug. Is it OK to cut the cable and put a typical plug on it as I need to drill a hole surrounded by the counter top and feed the cable up through. This is hopeless with a fused plug so I necessitate to cut the cable and put a another plug head on near. Is this OK to do?
Answers:    It shouldnt be a problem, If you can perhaps you can replace it near a fused plug??
There are all sort of option available to the DYI person.
Just consult beside the local electrical goods supplier first, at least possible they will give you what you stipulation and info on what plug to use
Yes of course you can do it, we hold done similar and if the plug top was diluted you would do it. the only point I would say is that you must unquestionably wreck the one you take past its sell-by date because if a child got hold of it and plugged it into a socket near a bit of bare flex sticking out it could be tragic. Make sure you put the correct fuse cartridge surrounded by though.
