Can I refinish hardwood floors surrounded by two close rooms at different times? (Read further)? I have rented a floor sander and the project is taking longer...

I have rented a floor sander and the project is taking longer than expected. I manage to successfully sand two bedrooms which lead into a hall, which is also wood. I would like to budge ahead and stain and poly the two bedrooms so I can move the furniture back surrounded by them. I don't have time right presently to do the hallway. If I refinish the hall in a few weeks, can I pick up where on earth I left sour without it man obvious that I refinished the floors on separate weekends? I am thinking I can in recent times feather out the poly from the bedroom floors and enjoy a fairly smooth transition from the bedroom to the upstairs hallway. Any suggestions from people who enjoy experience or knowledge of this scenario.
Answers:    Yes this will be fine. I presume the floor runs straight through beside no thresholds. You may find it prudent to finish the boards up to the nearest joints and take off yourself a few feet of deficient boards into each room to allow for a smooth sand transition from room to hall. Just remember to wipe around the place in socks for a few weeks to agree to the finish get angelic and hard back it takes too much traffic.
Yes you can. If you're not staining, the wood will adjectives turn the same color once the polyurethane is applied. You can spike it out if you want, but I strongly doubt that you'll notice the difference if you apply it near a pad and don't puddle it at the door opening.
