I have a refrigerator contained by the basement, which is on a 15 amp circuit by itself. I want to include a second outlet to the circuit, but it is near the sink contained by the workroom, so I thought I would install a protected outlet at that location.
Answers: In kitchens you are required now by the NEC to allot a non-GFCI outlet for refrigerators. This is because on the motor's start cycle the chances of tripping the GFCI's switch is more possible. So in answer to your grill you can operate a refrigerator on a GFCI but more than likely it will trip and any food inside will spoil as you may not know when the power drops.
Don't do it, allocate a circuit for the basement's refrigerator and eliminate a potential problem.
Absolutely, no problem.
