I recently bought a verbs up bar made to be mounted within a doorway however i would rather put it within the hallway so that i can mount it up difficult. The doorway is not tall adequate to be able to do a verbs up without bending my legs... I would similar to to be able to start from a baggy position. Any advice?
It depends on how the slab was made. If is screw in place you obligation to make sure to find the studs to screw into. If it is a squeeze contained by place kind that a short time ago uses pressure, it may be a a bad resort since you are squeezing into the drywall or plaster rather than wood.
I if truth be told did this once and it didn't work out too well. Your mileage may change.
I did it in an dated house and it turned out that the walls were plaster and lath. At that time I didn't hold a clue what I was doing and thought I be screwing it into the wall studs when surrounded by fact adjectives I did was screw it into the lath. It singular took a couple of pull ups back the whole piece ripped out of the wall, taking a pretty good sized chunk of plaster and lath down near it.
I agree with abundant of the others suggesting that you put it in a doorway and purely bend your legs, but if you're set on trying it in the corridor, just construct sure that you've got it anchored really resourcefully in the studs.
Answers: You can, assuming that when they built your house, they laid out the studs contained by all the walls from like peas in a pod point. This way the studs within both walls would be in flash with respectively other, and the bar would be square. If they weren't, it would look really chance, and wouldn't be all that safe and sound either. Be sure to mount it glorious enough that you don't run into any problems next to headroom. I'm not talking in the region of just clearing it beside your head but also when you or someone else may be carrying something down the hall. Hitting the bar will stop you within your tracks. Hope this helps.
