Cable terminations? hollow brass threaded bolt with captive nut & lock nut and shroud...

hollow brass threaded bolt with captive nut & lock nut and shroud onto a weatherproof intersection box. Cable is armoured.
How do I make off the armoured cable to the lock nut? How is the outer telecommunication layer terminated around the lock nut? The outer wire is typically used as an earth, but the cable I am using has an land wire.
If you are talking roughly coaxial cable there is a special striping tool used.It trims the shield and inside insulator in one progress.Check at local electrinics store (I don't think radio shack carries them) this is what you entail

If youre talking about Steel flex armoured then you have to globe the armouring even if you have an earth core within the cable. you can get a 'banjo' as it is called surrounded by the trade and then attach an earth cable from the banjo to the soil termination in the accesory.and you can easily find out how to end an swa cable into a gland. you can buy gland kits from all wholesalers, they usually contain the banjo. the outer seath( rope ) is no longer considered as good practice to use as earthing, use the internal earth rope as you have described
Answers:    The armored terminator fitting is installed by a professional with a special tool which will also remove it. This is done to prevent THEFT OF CABLE T.V. SERVICES. If you remove one of these, and it is not inside your home, this is a CRIME. I HIGHLY suggest that you phone your local cable company, and have them install service if you do not already subscribe. If you do already subscribe, and this is blocking an in-line to a t.v., computer, or telephone, next I suggest that you call your cable company, and complain LOUDLY, and make sure you use the words "satellite t.v., D.S.L., and withdraw."
Go to TLC's website, all should be revealed there.
