I have asked this formerly but I need my cabinet a different color.

I bought my house last year and as you would expect they came near the standard Maple cabinets. I can't stand that color. I involve to go next to something dark. I don't want to re-stain them but fairly just paint them. What are the processes I travel through to pull this rotten.

I've tried to sand the back of doors for a interview and stain them but it appears to be way too much of a hassle. I basically want a dark rich color. If you enjoy an answer for the doors is it the same beside the face of adjectives the cabinets as okay?

Also, there appears to be something on the cabinet making it harder to pull this rotten. It's almost like the cabinet company make it impossible to refinish these so you have to buy topical ones all over :/

Thanks,
Answers:    Maybe I'm missing something but drawing your kitchen cabinets is not difficult and if you do it right, you will own a finish that lasts of late as long as a factory applied finish.

Here's a link that take you through the painting process:

Essentially, you involve to clean them to remove any grease or grease, prime them and then paint. We did ours next to a medium olive green and next applied a faux finish that can be best described as a black antique brush.

After they were virtuous and dry we applied a couple of coats of a satin, wipe-on urethane. They look great and have held up especially well. I can't count the number of times population have complimented the look and be amazed that we could do it ourselves. Believe me, it was not difficult.
you stipulation to sand off the poly or the varnish to do it right and yes it is a hassle
