Best route for replacing breaker panel? I have a 100A CEB prime panel and a 60A FPE sub-panel....
I have a 100A CEB prime panel and a 60A FPE sub-panel. I am rewiring the house. The sub-panel is not in great shape, and I basically found out that FPE has poorly designed breakers and I should not keep hold of using them.
The previous owners of my house didn't do anything according to modern codes. Just sticking to electrical issues, there are adjectives different kinds of breakers contained by the panel. CEB of Toronto made the panel, but there are breakers from CEB, Cutler-Hammer, Commodore, Sylvania, and Siemens within there. The FPE panel, some of the breakers are falling out. They won't stir back contained by all the means of access.
Who are the best and worst circuit breaker and residential panel manufacturers within North America? I want to know what I should replace these panels beside, or at least which brand of breakers I should win.
Is there a accurate review site to see how these manufacturers are rank?
