Answers: For the dog- get a pill from the vet called Comfortis-about $10. It will end about 2-3 weeks.
For you house- vacuum every other day or so for around a week. If you have a hand held sprayer, consequently you can go to Lowes or Home Depot and get a pesticide i.e. labeled for fleas and in home use. If you can find one that has an live ingredient called "cypermethrin" -get it. Follow the label directions for mixing strength. If it say 3 tablespoons per gallon...then thats what it means... don't progress any stronger--you don't need it. At any rate don't go over 1/2%. Spray your floors, carpet and sofa if the animal gets on it.
Then spray the ground outside where the animal lays mostly. No call for to do the whole yard-just where the animal stays.
