I am making my soon to be half brother a quilt for his mother's babyshower. I have purely over 20 days.
I don't know what I want the theme to be!!
I'm obsessed next to hockey, so I was thinking a cute hockey fabric beside a solid back, but now I am thinking conceivably more of a babyish theme...
any ideas?!
Answers: I deduce cute sports or car theme next to cartoonish pattern will be best for infant boys.
I would suggest before you product the quilt - wash /dry and iron the fabrics to label sure they are colour fast. If you use a simple solid coloured pattern of square blocks- read aloud beige/ orange/taupe colour scheme then this will sit out for a few years - It would be good to make sure that it is 100% cotton, top and bottom,as resourcefully as the quilt batting so that if the baby have any skin allergies, cotton will be OK.
Have fun! Think of him dragging this much loved quilt around for years. Choose something that won't look too babyish when he is cuddling with it as a four year old.
You could choose fabric to represent different sports or go ahead and do just hockey so you can start influencing him to be a hockey star.
