has anyone tried the bricky tool which is advertise on t.v.? is it as good as it looks? any downsides to it? gratitude.
Waste of money mate. Build your corners of your wall up first, next use a string line to within fill the rows. the string flash will give you the required point to set the bricks at, cheaper and more satisfying to do.
the chief downfall of this tool is bricks is there will be some areas where on earth you have no choice but to cut the bricks which can be done beside a bit of practice, and also the mortar mix has to be spot on to preserve the wall standing. So it would be easier to practice with lime mix or delicate sand cement in command to learn proper brick lay rather consequently rely on the tool.
the advert is impressive.
Answers: all it give you, i've seen them at trade shows, is a guaranteed thickness of mortar bed.
undesirably bricks are not exactly the same length or largeness and they can vary surrounded by shape slightly, twist or banana.
this method you have to adjust the bed solidity to match the brick and those around it so you necessitate a brick line and a pious eye to make it look right. also needed is a plumb starting point from the corners.
it may serve a little at first but you would soon swot to put the correct amount of mortar on anyway
imo a waste of time
