Anyone know of a UK adheasive which is suitable to glue down 6mm plywood to a an ASPHALT floor prior to lay a sheet vinyl floorcovering? {would a floor tile adheasive work with a few screw round the perimiter?}
Answers: Liquid nails - works every time. Go to their website at http://www.liquidnails.com/ViewProductLi... and see which product would work best. I enjoy used a lot of their products and they are great
I agree beside Steve. A General Construction Adhesive like "No more Nails" would probably do the trick. I suggest you catch a little square of plywood and a tube of sticky stuff to see if it works. If it doesn't, tough, but you haven't spent much to find out. In case it works so okay that you can't easily chisel it past its sell-by date again, do the experiment in a corner of the room, where on earth no-one is going to tread, and you can work round it when it comes to the real point. I'd suggest leaving the stripped plywood for a week, to let the sticky stuff dry out through it, rather than right away laying impervious tiles on top.
