Any design on how to brand an peculiarly shaped mirror frame? I just had a ample mirror break and I love the shape...

I just had a ample mirror break and I love the shape of one of the large chunks. I know how to build a rectangular frame, but this one is a billowing kite shape and I was looking for accepted wisdom. Please don't just tell me to cut it to a square piece and after tell me how to make a frame, that's not what I'm looking for!

I dont enjoy any saws so if I buy any wood it'll have to be pre-cut to what I want. I was also wondering what other materials could be used. I want to be able to attach it to a wall, otherwise I'd vacate it the way it is. Creative solutions welcome!

Thank you contained by advance!
Answers:    Having NO clue what the shape of the chunk is, maybe the links below will pass you an idea, if not provide the product.

There might be some adjectives involved so be prepared :)

Hoping this will help!

Edit: Another option MIGHT be polymer clay. Easy to work near and extremely versatile... can be found in craft stores.

If you're interested, you could get snakes the thickness you think would work best from the clay, shape them to the "chunk", roast them, then adhere to the chunk next to liquid polymer.

The third link shows how flexible the clay is.
I do some custom wood working and with out the proper tools there is no well-mannered way to make it yourself. You can use mirror clips to suspend it to the wall... (as opposed to trying to hang it by a wooden frame), this open up your options as to what to trim it out with.

You can take vinyl trim, which is very flexible, and can be cut with a set of two of snips... a drop of hot melt glue placed here and here would hold it in place (or a bit of caulk). This type of trim comes in several different styles. Some is used to put a border around 3/8" sheetrock, while other is used as trim for bathrooms. There's also assorted interior trim.

You might consider taking the mirror to a store that does custom framing... most malls in larger metro areas have one of these.

Or, you might check near a local woodworker, and have a custom frame made.

Good Luck
