I'm thinking about making air filter for my computer. I'm planning on soldering the filter's frame together, but what can I use for the filter itself? Basically, I need to know the name of different materials that are used for filter so I can check it out at the hardware store.

What I want the material to do:

1. Filter dust and hair: beefy dust problem in my area, and I own a golden retriever.
2. Washable: not that big a deal. If it's cheap, I can just throw it away when it get clogged.
3. Restrict air flow: I installed a PCI exhaust fan, so this should sustain with air flow, so I can receive a thicker material that keeps out more dust.

Any suggestions?
