Well I¡¯ve bought myself an above ground pool that¡¯s a 13x24ft oval. The pool is going on a preexisting pool site. But the plastic is all torn up and weed have taken it pretty much over. I plan to use a chemical call Zap It to kill everything including Nut Grass. I also intent to lay down exotic plastic and use more sand. My question is should I use masonry sand or cram sand? And how many yard will I need deliver to fill contained by a 13x24 ft area that¡¯s 4-6 inches vast? I¡¯m a fairly paw guy but this is my first time putting together a pool so any advice is welcome. Hints/tips. Thanks to all that respond
Answers: Masonry sand.
After you smooth your sand, spray it good next to water afterwards tap it down to pack it. Do this at lowest possible 2 or 3 times. If not, the sand will shift and you will have foot print holes lower than your liner.
The size of your pool I would get at most minuscule three other men to assist you.
Once pool is set up, add one inch of hose then re-align liner. Once more consequently that much water is contained by you will never move it.
Good luck
Use masonry sand since they are finely screened and stones, rubbles and bits and bobs are already removed. If the plastic sheet is 6 ft wide next you need around 32 yard and that includes the overlap and some allowance for slack. I hope you could find a plastic sheeting that is 14-15 foot wide later you will have no problem in the region of the overlap and all you entail is 8-9 yards including the allowance for slack. Hope I computed it right.
