Answers:    ACTUALLY that bedding is not contemporary, it's traditional. and yes cherry wood would go beside it. also you can use as many wall furnishings as you like. the bedding is terribly subtle.
Which color do u close to better?
The bedding would look great with cherrywood furniture, assuming the styles match, but I doubt cherrywood would be used on too modern furniture. Just don't stir overboard with girly touches in paraphernalia, unless you like sleeping alone. Guys aren't comfortable in too much femininity. Also, next to that many pillows and everything textured, keep your wall art simple.
Room colors?
Actually everything go with cherry from contemporary to traditional, but this bedding is particularly nice. Great price, too.
