So we have lived in our ancient home for 6 years. We have had alike furniture this whole time. The cats have destroyed the edges and the furniture is adjectives stained. Our old home was a trailer home. We are moving into a gorgeous new home in a amazingly nice area. We do have a few nice peices of furniture close to our dining room table but my question is. Would you bring your ugly stained living room set into your up to date nice house untill you get all trial peices. Our would you rather have a few room sthat are emoty and waiting for nicer furniture. We do plan on getting hot furniture just not all at once...
If I coudlnt afford all the different pieces yet then yeah otherwise no I'd skulk until i can afford new furniture. Congratulations on your new home!
It depends. If you can afford new furniture and you would feel more comfortable beside it then buy it. If you can't afford it right now use your matured stuff until you can. its your home, do what you want with it .
Get new furniture when you are comfortab something like spending that additional unnecessary expenses !

Maybe you can move it yourselves,cover beside furniture covers
and wax and polish wood. Old English works great on wood.
You also need to address what will prevent any brand new
furniture from vigorously becoming "ratty" too! Maybe you could
get the cats set up with scratch posts and their own little
hangouts established first.I vote for using the old stuff so you
can shop for righteous deals and get the cats lower than control.
