Ok I have a crappy hardwood floor in my dining room i.e. falling apart. That same wood is in my media room (family room) to be precise attached to the dining room. I have crappy tile in my kitchen that is to say falling apart. So we are getting a new floor. We're keeping the wood in the medium room. Would it look dumb to put tile (not real tile - but some tile looking flooring - durable) in both the kitchen and the dining room? Would that be too much of one entity? Neither room is huge. Would the tile in the dining room look dumb against the wood in the medium room? Or I could leave wood in the dining room, I merely want something easy to clean that I can't verbs.
Answers: I don't think it would look dumb at all. If you use duplicate tile (color/pattern) in both rooms, it could actually bring a moment or two continuity to the space.
leave the wood in the dining room. Place a LARGE nouns rug in the dining room under the table. There are heaps now on the market that are clan friendly and inexpensive.
my parents just replaced their vinyl flooring in their kitchen near tile but they added heated tiles to make it warmer to the foot. If you want something easy to clean, you can turn for an expensive vinyl flooring in the kitchen that looks like tile. We own tile in ours but the grout is so hard to verbs!!
