Working for nonspecific contractor? My husband is a project manager for a g/c who is on...

My husband is a project manager for a g/c who is on break. He says something get screwed up on a job that will cost more or less $200 to fix and several hours of his time. The customer's aggravated so he's staying late (off the clock) to fix this and paying for the substance out if his own pocket. I am not trying to influence his decision or anything close to that, just wondering if anyone have some thoughts on this, does this sort of situation typically get resolved this passageway? My husband is honest and fair and I trust his outcome inherently, but could he personally be liable for bigger monetary damages (hypothetically) if it happen again?
Well to be honest, if one of my workers makes a serious mistake on something i will hold him fix it without wages. They dont have to payment for materials out of pocket but i will not pay them to correct something that should own been done right the first time. If you are worried just about future mistakes and bigger payouts i would seriously hold hubby look into another contractor simply because he shouldn't have to compensate for materials out of pocket.

Customers are usually aggravated because of lack of construction experience. Your husband have admitted to the problem and is fixing it. From near the customer needs to shut up and support the troop building their investment.

Errors are a part of any business and construction isn't any different. Your husband is an agent of that company so it is their loss and should not come out of his pocket. It is an excepted bit of the business....but that said, your comment about protecting himself from further claims, you should clarify it and cover his & your butt.
