the color of stain I used on a new door is not what I hoped for. I have . hold not applied the polyuerthane. what is the best way to correct it
Answers: it depends on wether you are going darker or lighter near the stain. if darker, stain over it. if lighter strip it, sand it and restain.
I would play it safe, and re-sand the door. That approach whatever stain change you craft later, you wont have the gruesome one bleeding through, and ruining the nice stain you have chosen. Hope that was handy!
