My husband and i just bought a house and we are trying to integer out if we want to put in wood floors or tile. Which is better contained by a house and will last for the price? Which is easier to hang on to clean? We also want to put granite counter tops contained by, will that look good near either wood flooring or tile? We know how to put both within and my uncle does contrsuction and my cousin knows how to shift tiling that looks very majestic. Opinion please? We are stuck and dont know which to go near. Thanks
Wood. Most pretty, warm on the tootsies, increases good point of home, if you drop anything on tile it breaks. If you do go near tile have your cousin lay it on the bias. (Not checkerboard but sideway slanted). Nicer look that mode.
Depends on your location and your lifestyle.
Tile is resolved easier to clean and keep up, but will freeze your feet surrounded by the cold months.
Wood floor, durability varies depending the product selection. DO NOT use engineered hard wood flooring on kitchen floor as it can be dented slickly and warp. A plastic bowl drop on the floor would possibly give you an superb mark. Solid hardwood is ok.
Answers: I would go near wood. I have both and sand get in the grout dash of the tiles and are harder to sweep up since it goes both ways. Also the grout will eventually carry dirty and you have to scrub next to special cleaner and brush to clean it. Just be sure the wood is okay sealed and I presume you will be happy. Like the other guy said, tile is cold!
