Currently there is a Single pole Switch as you waddle into my Bedroom. This Controls one of the Duplex outlet's on my room (So if I plus in a kerosene lamp I could turn it on and off thru the switch) I want to generate the Duples outlet always on so I could run a laptop, Tv etc... thru it without have to worry roughly speaking turning it off. I also currently hold no Ceiling fan so I would close to to run wires from the Switch to a fan. I know how to mount the aficionado brackets, wire the adherent, mount the box etc.. But how Can I switch it over that way? and is it something I could do my self or how much would it cost to hold an Electrician come in and re-wire my room that means of access.
Answers: not too bad since you seem to be to understand electrics.
first the outlet, since part is hot adjectives the time just hook a "hot jersey from the hot(brass) nut to brass nut on the receptacle, and wire nut the head from the switch.
(make sure you turn power off aka breaker)
in a minute the harder part you will call for to run a wire from the switch to the light/fan, AND you must enjoy power at the switch to start with (aka indistinct and ground), which sometimes is not bad if you enjoy attic space above to drill down into the cavity where the lantern switch currently is.
hope this helps ya.
They be paid "switch guards" that you place on the switch toggle so you can't turn the switch by accident. See the intertwine below: http://www.accelmediagroup.com/switch_gu...
