im 14 and painting my room soon.
im not girly at adjectives.
im bold and retro.
do you think two bright red walls and two bright ginger walls will look okay?
plus black trim.
and black carpet.
yes?
if you dont focus it will look good, afterwards what do you suggest?
A color approaching bright red may make it rugged for you to relax. Try the main color as bright white next to red, black and silver accents.
If you do that, the Red and Orange will clash. The best point to do before you paint, is by a cover, or duvet, or a comforter...etc. Whatever it is you want. Then you match the paint colors to the besspread. If you acquire a black and white bedspread, perceptibly the Red and Orange walls will clash.
Do you have a comforter or something picked out, or do you stipulation to find one? I would be happy to lend a hand you look for one if you need.
Answers: I like the retro hypothesis, and the black trim, but I would lean a little away from two different bright colors...mostly because your walls will SCREAAAAAM at you. I would find one of those colors, and from personal experience find the color chip you similar to and go two to three shades lighter. Trust me, I required a yellow surrounded by my bathroom and I got done and thought I be going to be sick, it was so bold it hurt my eyes. I be much happier with the lighter shade. If you choose red, I recommend that you own the primer tinted, red is a hard color to paint (my kitchen is red), and it took 3 apt coats even after the primer. The several coats seemed to build the walls have more depth, strange I know. Also preserve in mind as you paint that the paint will whip different shades as it dries so don't freak out until it is dry.
If you want the other colors I say, bring some cool retro pillows, that are the other color you like. Also I did this surrounded by my daughters room. I painted from the celing down 3 feet once color and next painted a border of another color that was 2 inches wide-ranging, you will have to benchmark and tape this sour using a paint tape I used the video that is enjoy sticky like a sticky write down. Anyway, then below the stripe I painted the third color. hers be when she was for a while girl and the top was a spring green and the strip be off white and tne bottom be pink. At the top in the spring green I used a sponge stencil and unpredictably sponged white daisies around on it, and it they had a fluffy yellow center, which be the color of the base boards. i be thinking since you like retro, you could paint the walls down the 3 foot the orange you approaching then paint the black stripe around and from the bottome of the stripe to the floor I would paint to the floor trim. Paint your trim black, and find some cool black curtains and a black counterpane with red and red pillows that match the walls. It may be easier to find your bedding since you pick you pain colors. Then if you want to find some cool stencil or lately random dots of black on the top three foot of paint.
Just have fun! It is nice to see you are not afraid of color.
