Why would Lowe's not mix Signature paints surrounded by the regular Valspar can anymore? I used to buy paint at Lowes using their regular American Tradition...
I used to buy paint at Lowes using their regular American Tradition paint but using the colors from L. Ashley, Eddie Bauer, etc. This weekend I went to get more paint (actually a color I already own and needed to retouch) and they wouldn't do it for me. The excuse be the computers have been reconfigured not to adopt that. Hum...how does the computer know which can you are placing under? does it have eyes? hehehe. Honestly, what's the big treaty? It's still Valspar paint, only more expensive!
Answers: The bases of respectively paint has changed not the mixing machine.. they enjoy converted to 64ths of ounces instead of 32'nds and the colorant will be totally different when using the formula for different brands of paints..They were afraid that it would be returned , however , they should have a cross insinuation and any GOOD EXPERINCED paint people should know how to match it..Sherwin Williams can..I am a 37 year experienced painter and enjoy had nothing but trouble near Lowes color matching consistancy anyway with duplicate label of paint, thier formula on it and purchased just a few days prior.. Heck when relatives from the paint department have thier days off..they are subject to hold someopne from the electrical department sit in for them ..and you have troubles... I will never purchase paint from them...THE BOTTOM LINE IS..BECAUSE THE WORKER DIDNT KNOW WHAT THE HECK HE/SHE WAS DOING.as most thier regular empire in the paint department dont anyway..They do not know how to match paint unless they can simply do it by pressing a button..unlike a REAL PAINT STORE...
i agree beside the beach guy. a lot of the clerks are far from color experts. for these peple, if a computer is reconfigured they are approaching completely lost sheep
ask an artist supply store if they can help you match yr color mixing surrounded by tints (example: phalo blue, raw sienna, black tint, just examples) and other paints. plentiful people who work in artist supply stores hold much more of that artistic eye to do this
