I got hunter green walls contained by the family room. We bought this house 2 years ago it be like that. Now I m imagine how nice it would look if I painted it off white or taupe. Has anyone go from hunter green to a better color? How's it feel?
Answers: I used to hold hunter green walls in the deferred 80's but as much as I loved it in the initiation, I found it looked dated after a couple of years. I have since used mostly neutrals when it comes to fine art my walls. The neutral that I hold on to using and using is Sico 'Van Gogh Wheat'. This color is a very thaw 'white' (They add pallid & red when it's mixed). It felt so 'uplifting' to attain rid of that dark color. Clean, uncomplicated and fresh is how the modern lighter color feels. Happy decorate.
A better color is in the eye of the owner..intuitively, I do not care for Hunter Green on the inside..but thats freshly me.. Taupe will makethe area look in the order of 30% larger though..lighter the color, the more room appears to be there...to cover that Hunter green..Get of late A regular FLAT latex primer and have it tinted to 75% of the formula of the finish paint you want to use..To cover green it will more than likely appropriate 3 coats instead of two..so take the cheaper flat for the 1st coat to let go a little money...and yes..flat will dance over a paint that has any sheen to it..as long as it is also a latex (water base paint) as well..
