Answers:    well since you said lathe wood adjectives thing you don't know your tools very well so skip that, you obviously own an Internet connection so the communication problem is solved. so no phone. an xbox while extremely fun, is one and only going to cost more money for games. i imagine that this is from your parents so they will payment for the dog food. and an ipod is self sustaining if you have friends that will consent to you download music from there computer. so ipod or dog ipod or dog. you better attain the ipod, i have a opinion that your parents would end up taking supervision of the dog all the time.
