Which is cheaper to use-gas logs or electric---? We have gas logs surrounded by our living room--just for extra heat...

We have gas logs surrounded by our living room--just for extra heat when we want it but with gas prices as they are we haven't even turned them on on the other hand.--we have a gas pack and these are freshly for "extra heat". would it be cheaper to change these to electric logs as I do miss the comeliness of the fireplace.

For the price of gas I would put electric logs within. In a fireplace most of the heat go up the chimney. Don't know if they have electric logs that put out warmth but if they don't buy a small electric heater to heat up the room.

You are ususally better sour with gas than electric because electric boil consumes sooooo much energy. First of adjectives, high use can boost you into the cost rate (up to 50% surcharge for all electricity used over a unmistaken amount)
All the power company has to do is to put on a pedestal it's prices 20 or 30% and you can be in a world of hurt.

I know a guy with adjectives electric house. The power company jacked up his rates and he was paying over $900 a month for service. Ouch, it be more than the house payment.
