I bought it to "open up" a tiny apartment (illusion of more space). Now I've moved into a great space & am confused where the big mirror should run. Above the couch and above the dining area seem silly to me.

Can you find a place where on earth it would reflect the light of a pane (and particularly if it has a nice view)?
Above the couch does appear silly; the dining room not quite so bad. It is a traditional place to dangle large mirrors.
