Office Max and Staples has REALLY expensive corkboards... so I be thinking it would be cheaper just to buy substantial pieces of cork, without a fancy, expensive frame. Do you know where on earth I can buy large pieces of cork?
Answers: Where I live, Home Depot carry 1/4" or 6mm cork sound anaesthetizing underlayment in 4' general rolls but there are lots of condos here. You can roughly get it within cut sizes up to 100' long.
If not you would have to dance to a flooring supply store where they would own full 4' x 100' rolls or possibly 2' x 3' sheets.
Go to your local auto parts store. They sell rolls of it for gasket fabric. You might have to use two layer to get the proper compactness.
