Im redoing my finished basement and for one of the poles i want to put a stick of wicker around it. The bamboo stick would need to be just about 4.5-5" in diameter though. Does anyone know of a PREFERABLEY only place where on earth i could go about buying one?

Answers:    Walmart!! We enjoy a bamboo trim in both our living room and kitchen, near some bamboo accents within various places in our house. Because Walmart have such a good price on bamboo, my husband buys them out whenever they get hold of it in (we live in a small community and wicker isn't commonly restocked at our Walmart)! In the past when my husband has required bamboo and Walmart has be sold out, he has purchased it at Pier 1, but it is MUCH more expensive. And by the way, the rattan we got from Walmart is great quality, it's be up in our living room for years with no problems! I hope this is useful!

Look at the garden Centre ,Home Depot had some , you could also find wall paper near a bamboo pattern if you look contained by the books , it looks real and aside from that it wont collect dust .
