What would shift next to Quixotic Plum (Sherwin Williams)? I am painting my bedroom and call for help beside colors....
I am painting my bedroom and call for help beside colors. My bedroom furniture is dark wood beside black accents and my trim color is call import ivory. I bought this duvet: http://www.westelm.com/online/store/Prod... which I thought would be a bluish gray, but is more of a purplish grayish color. I enjoy tried quixotic plum on the wall and it looks like it would coordinate near it, but I don't want the whole room so menacing. Ideas on a color for the other walls? Or, do you have a different impression on a color scheme for the walls that would progress with this duvet? Right in a minute, my room is a taupe color and I am just so bored near it. Btw, I did the online Sherwin Williams tool and I didn't love the coordinating colors they offer. They weren't anything exciting. Also, I'm not big on fine art the other walls lilac or making it all purple. Thanks for the facilitate!
Answers: What about trying Sherwin Williams Ponder(7079) or Minute Mauve (7078). They are surrounded by the grey family but enjoy that hint of lavender. They would look well beside the rest the Quixotic Plum but wouldn't look too purple.
Make sure you put the dark plum on the oposite wall to the entrance of you room. This will put together the room feel larger near such a dark wall and furniture.
You'll a short time ago have to try a few things until you find what works best next to your accessories, lighting and style! Good luck!
