What we used to do is put cellotape on the back and then stick prestic or sticky stuff or doesn`t matter what onto that and then the wall. When you pull it stale the cellotape protects the poster. frame them, you can get poster size frames at michaels.
To preserve the color and prevent the thesis from wrinkling/creasing, I'd put them in a frame; you would need to create a hole in the wall for the nail, as expected, but this wouldn't cause any damage to your poster.

you can always put them surrounded by a frame or i usually use a push pin only on the top of the poster! hope that helps! 3M make a sticker that won't damage the wall or the posters
