What to do next to 2 living rooms? I have a living room and later a family room that are...

I have a living room and later a family room that are subsequent to eachother without doors. The living room have a large wall to be exact carved out that goes into the ethnic group room, thats our entrace way for the 2nd room-make sense?

Ok so i'm trying to redecorate, and not sure what my option are here. I want to close that space in by any adding a divider, tacky heavy drapes, or a silk peak door (is that what there call?) this is only for the living room, havent started on the own flesh and blood room yet.

Would it be too drastic to do drapes on 3 window that are in the living room, and after had drapes to that gigantic wall to? That be my inital idea, but i'm up to other soutions.
