I think that you might approaching the shabby Chic look. You never use dark colors near this look. The furniture is usually painted white which means you can pick up furiture cheap and paint it! if you want to splurge on a bed how roughly this one: http://www.lullabylane.com/jump.jsp?item... This one is really beautiful too: http://www.brocadehome.com/bh/catalog/pr... If you use any color it should be sickly pink rose fabric for your throw and curtains.
Start next to a comforter or bedspread that you love. Check out this site:

but here are lots more if you google "vintage bedding".
Choose a color from your favorite bedding to paint the walls and start accessorizing slowly. Thrift stores are great for vintage!

You own to first decide what things you close to. Are you into the shape of a piece? The color? Specific finishes? Do you like sleek resembling vinyl or softer like textile or lace? Are you going to make it SO VINTAGE that three years from in a minute you will hate to run into your room?
Do some research. Find one inexpensive item that you really like and put it contained by your room. See if you like it a month or two from in a minute. Yeah, I know, that's a long time, but not as long as when you beg to repeat your room in a year or two and your parents report to you it's staying that way until you walk to college. Find your style and have fun.
