I have tried Swiffer and it have dulled my oak flooring. I use a damp mop or cloth (water only) and they are dull. I don't want to use 'Mop and Glo' but what else is out within that is fitting for wood?
Before you go to drastic measures, try Murphys Oil Soap. It doesn't dulll the floors approaching Swiffer does.
you may have to sand and re-varnish if the floors hold a few years on them.
From what I know about wood (from the furniture city), the best entity you can put on it is nothing! In certainty, you may try stripping it first.
