i am using valspar translucent color glaze surrounded by mocha for a faux technique on my kitchen cabinets, i have need of to know what color to paint the base boards (light manila part surrounded by the pic) that the cabinets are on. does any one own any suggestions. here is a link to what they look close to now. http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a161/l...
tan or unlit brown
You did the faux division on the cabinet doors... right? It looks really good!
My common advice: you enjoy to look at the predominent colors/tones of the rest of the kitchen to come up with the right solution. Your picture doesn't donate that information to me. ...so I am reluctant to suggest. There is a strong yellow tint (artifact) to the picture as okay... so color suggestions are not going to be accurate.
Take the cabinet door off and progress to a paint store. Take your time and put some color samples subsequent to your faux technique. You can invite others to give their opion while nearby as well. You might want to give somebody a lift the door to a fabric store too... to find the right color compliment for curtains or other application contained by the kitchen. People that work with materials adjectives the time usually have a great eye for color and design.
I know how concrete you have be working on the painting... so the rest will product or break your efforts. It is sagacious to get a few options past you decide. The time-out will be powerfully spent.
I have be doing some remodeling myself. Good Job!
Answers: Most see panels are dark in color. Lighter will not be biddable because it shows stains easier and won't look natural.
Besides you did such a great livelihood and your kick panel should travel un-notices. Dark colors are best.
