One brand I used and it was semi add footnotes to type looked great on my table but, I could scratch it near my finger nail lacking much trouble I want the toughest brand out there because I want to brand name nice looking wooden shelves for my retail store.
Answers: The one that they are saying is the toughest is call "C Thane", but it was formulated to stamp floors.

I don't know why you couldn't use it on your table tops, but you might want to read the manufacturer's warning sticky label to determine if it should not be used on a table. I guess if it doesn't hurt babies when they crawl on a floor that is hermetic with it, afterwards you should be able to use it on a table. Just my view.
I have used finish from Deft and Behr near great results. My favorite finish though is not urethane but Varnish. McKloskey's Ultra Spar Marine varnish. Can be buffed down from gloss glibly enough and it is impressively tough.
Two urethanes that are also good are one call Gym-Seal, expensive and I'm not sure if you can get it contained by smaller than 5 Gal. containers. Used for basketball courts. Another I have unused personally but hold seen it contained by use, was call Bar Top. Used like it sounds, for lump tops.
