What is the environment average cost per sq yd for hearth rug and wad?

Answers:    Here are some of the prices I sell atmosphere quality runner to landlords for their rental homes. This includes installation, underlayment and removal of existing carpet installed over wipe.

Cut pile -- $19.00
Berber -- $18.00
Patterned -- $25.00

However prices range from $15.00 to capably over $200.00 per sq yd. The big box stores are not the cheapest places in spite of their exposure claims and they seldom are able to supply the competence of personal service the smaller stores provide.

I am in Florida but the prices from the manufacturer are not based on location as much as it is on the price of grease. Being a petroleum based product have caused the prices to spiral upward along beside everything else. So the longer you wait to start your project, the more expensive it will be.

Also, labor rates rise and fall from state to state. Florida being a "Right to Work" state have lower rates than California which has some of the matchless in country.

One other item. Carpet has be sold in square foot increments by ruling since 2000. Retailers are randomly monitored by the US Dept of Weights and Measures for compliance.
The runner I do well beside is around $34/yard with wipe, installed. It's definitely not the cheapest, and isn't nearly the most expensive, but a nice feature. We are a small shop near the Twin Cities of MN.
