The Janka rating on walnut is a bit superior thus it s a harder wood.. Oak being more at hand well be unanimously cheaper depending on what you need. As contained by wood flooring walnut will be more expensive but a harder wood. The graining is usually "larger" thus more beautifull in my assessment , but it s all personal choice GL
