What is the difference between Roman shades and Roman blinds? ;)? ...

Answers:    I have never hear of Roman blinds, but I own Roman shades so I can tell you what those are.

Roman shades - usually expensive glass coverings that made of materials (or silk like mine) that can hold pleats in them. They can be manually or electrically drawn up to the top of your skylight. Depending on the thickness of the bits and pieces, a little street light can shine thru. This is nice if you like your privacy, but still want automatic light contained by your home.

Roman blinds - searched ancestral, friends, & the net & I don't believe there's such article.
Blinds, of course, are also pane coverings, but are made of hard materials close to metal, plastic, wood, etc. They block out or minimize outside light.

Hope that help! :)
Venetian Blinds are horizontal or vertical and have opening between slats, a cord is pulled to raise and lower them and close the opening
Roman shades are Fan shaped or horizontal folds and are for windows. Roman Blinds are Horizontal and some time vertical and own no openings between the folds they are used for doors opening. They are opened and closed contained by the same approach.
